Hi Stephanie,

We were sorry to hear about your lost baby, Kayleigh.

Kristen sounds pretty normal to us, from the experience of our daughter
Jessica, who was full term. She sat at eight months, and walked at 14
months.

It sounds like your son was a very early starter - we have found that the
variation of "normal" is very wide. A friend of ours did not walk until
22 months and she was full term with no disability or complications - and
she is a very sharp lawyer now and enjoying perfect health.
At the hospital where our son was born, they told us that a child who is
sitting by the age of 2 will usually be able to walk.

In our experience, recovering from the traumatic birth of a child takes a
long time - and the loss of your daughter must make it even harder.

We wish you all the best - please stay in touch

Anne and Gary
