Thanks to Tammy and Gary for getting the ball rolling with the group.

We suppose that most of you have seen our son Vincent's page
(http://www.vicnet.net.au/~garyh/vincent.htm). Briefly, Vincent was born
at 26 weeks due to a septicaemia infection, and had a grade 4 intra
ventricular heamorrhage during or shortly after birth.
He is now 16 months old, and doing really well, much better than we
dared to hope he would. He is just starting to crawl, in a rather
ungainly but effective fashion, and to wreak havoc in our living room.

We felt very distressed and alone when Vincent was born, and unable to
find much information about his prospects after the IVH.
We had some very helpful email via a posting to misc.kids,
and this was a great comfort to us.

We feel that as a group we might be able to offer each other support,
encouragement and share information about the development of
our premature babies.

We are new to the processes of "list owning" - our thinking was that we
would check that the process runs ok with a small group who found their
way to the list via Vincent's page, then advertise it -
on misc.kids, Tommy's Cyber nursery and anywhere else anyone could suggest
as appropriate. Does this sound OK?

look forward to "meeting" the rest of you.

best wishes

Anne and Gary, Vincent and Jessica
