NEXT STEP - IN THE HANDS OF CABINET

There is one more step in the process, a policy decision by the Government to implement the recommendations of the Committee in full across all public land.

The Committee has presented a new and much improved foundation on which the Government can build a public land fire management system that really works. Forest Fire Vic members congratulate John Pandazopoulos, the Committee members and support staff.  We will continue to promote and support whatever is needed to make the new system work and avoid a repetition of the disaster that triggered the Inquiry.
