Would love to see Mansell back in F1, just to set the cat among the pigeons. Unfortunately highly unlikely though. Give Coulthard a decent car and he'd do well - he already proved that when with Williams. Same goes for Hakkinen. Villeneuve is very good ; Schumacher also, but too arrogant. |

Hi,it's David here! When I first heard about a new circuit in Australia to start hosting F1,I said to myself: "Oh no!",thinking that it's one of those circuits that do not put on such a great show. But when I saw Melbourne's circuit with those professional,high speed,low speed,anyway all of those corners that a great circuit should have to host a great show,and read so much of its No.1 facilities recommended by all drivers and people and after seeing such a great race in Melbourne,both in 1996,1997, I said this is the bomb!!! My favourite driver is Jacques Villeneuve. He didn't finish the race and that's a real pity!!! He deserved a win after losing firdst place to Hill after oil pressure. The management of this track is very professional.I tell you. I'm sure you're proud of it. |

After attending the last 8 GPs in Adelaide, I was hoping to critise the Melbourne GP but couldn't. The organisation was terrific, we hardly noticed the transport strike. 15 minutes wait for a taxi in a queue of 300 people is incredible! Well done Melbourne. See you next year. |

Well designed site. I learned alot about F1 here. I'd like to keep posted about new developments in the racing world. Keep me posted! PS: Perhaps it would be good to add a hotlink to some sort of immediate update site (I dunno, Sports Illustrated?) so visitors can keep up with the latest results. PSS: I still don't understand why F1 and Indy are kept so segregated. I have seen Indy cars live in Toronto, and they are pretty incredible. I am willing to bet if they were to match up all the drivers (between Indy and F1) it would be alot more interesting than many suppose. People automatically assume that F1 is superior, I am not so sure. I do not think, however, that such a race is going to occur in the near future, there is to much at stake in keeping them separated. We all would like to see another team besides Williams on the rostrum this year, but I miss the days when the championship was spread out more and the champion needing only a handful of wins, good racing skill, and consistancy to take it all home with honors. I hope '97 gives us the chance to observe a far more competitive season than those of late, and bring back the thrill that is Formula One! |
