The Great War : Footscray Drill Hall

'Farewell gathering in the Footscray Drill Hall, to young men of the district who enlisted at outbreak of the 1914-18 War and went to Gallipoli with the 7th Battalion, A.I.F. A handsome honor board made of beautiful Australian timber and carrying the name of every local, over 3000, who enlisted in World War I is a focal point above the main stairway at the town hall.'
