Amanda Armstrong Amanda is a graduate of the John Bolton Theatre School (1996), has a BA in Drama from LaTrobe University (1990) and has completed a certificate from the Australian Music Examination Board as a Contemporary Vocalist. Amanda has a long standing relationship with the "Lunchtime Theatre" events dating back to 1995 and in 1999 she took over as Artistic Director. She was most recently seen in the independent film "Twinkle Toes" and the play "Treading Water" at La Mama Theatre. She has also performed with West Theatre, Lloyd Jones Performance Arts Ensemble, Polyglot Theatre and at St Martins Theatre. Her Festival work includes the Melbourne International Festival, Canberra Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Melbourne Fringe Festival, Federation Festival and Diabetes Victoria. In 2001 she was nominated for Best Cabaret Act at the Melbourne Fringe Festival. This year Lunchtime Theatre has won a Green Room Award for Significant Contribution to Independant/Fringe Theatre. Peter Hurley Peter Hurley performs regularly around Australia in many different guises - he has performed for the A.B.C., with the State Orchestra of Victoria, as a classical musician with pianist Nehama Patkin, and with children’s entertainer Franciscus Henri. To Melbourne audiences he is a regular in the Melbourne Comedy Festival, Fringe Festival and Midsumma Festivals. His involvement with Cabaret goes back to such venues as Mietta’s and the Athenaeum, and of course, far too many shows at Chapel off Chapel to mention though his most recent appearances include “It’s all new, but nothing’s changed” with Nehama Petkin, “Naughty Little Showtunes”, “There are Bears in There” and “A Snatch of Ms. Penelope” at Chapel Off Chapel and “Mad Dogs and Finlayson” at Caper’s - "Witty and original" - Melbourne Age Paul Reichstein Paul Reichstein graduated from Flinders Drama Centre with a BA (Honours) in Drama & English (2000). His stage credits include "Dealers Choice" with the State Theatre of SA, "The Rope Project" with BRINK Productions and "The Sign of the Seahorse" with Windmill Performing Arts. His latest project was "Falling Petals" last year with Playbox Theatre Company. He is also one of the founding members of The Border Project. Paul's screen credits include guest appearances on both McLeod's Daughters and Blue Heelers. Sean Weatherly graduated from Flinders Drama Centre with a BA (Honours) in Drama Performance (2002). His stage credits include the Australian Premiere of Aaron Copland's "The Second Hurricane" for the Adelaide Telstra Festival in 2000, the Australian Premiere of Stephen Sondheim's "Saturday Night" for Magnormos at Federation Square and the Hats Off Aids Charity event at the National Theatre in 2003. In 2002 Sean joined the Symposium group at the Shanghai International Arts Festival as part of the "Celebrate Australia" week and worked closely with Wojciech Pisarek using digital technology in performance. His recent television credits include Sensing Murder for Prime Time Productions. Michael Fuller - Director Michael arrived from the U.K. in 1972 and has worked at N.I.D.A. as a movement/dance teacher and also as a choreographer for The Sydney Theatre Company, A.T.Y.P. and as an actor/choreographer for The Sydney Theatre of The Deaf. In 1977 he moved to Adelaide where he worked as movement/dance lecturer at Flinders University's Drama Centre and as an actor/choreographer for The State Theatre Company and Troupe Theatre. He has also choreographed for State Opera, S.A.Film Corp, Patch Theatre, Doppio Teatro and Vitalstatistix to mention a few. Michael was also co-founder of Gestures and the S.A. Theatre of the Deaf. He is about to become a student of 'Auslan' with the intention of, one day becoming an interpreter. Bob Weatherly - Lighting & Sound Technician Bob Weatherly has directed and choreographed many schools shows, including tours to Japan and China. He coordinated 17 Rock Eisteddfod items, gaining many awards including 4 first places. In 2003 he judged the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge and Wakakirri in SA. He is a Yr 12 Dance Moderator, a guest teacher in schools and a lecturer in Primary School Drama at Flinders University for the School of Education. Currently he has been working for Patch Theatre Company and has stage managed “The Boy and the Bamboo Flute” for The Children’s First Festival in Singapore, and “Aesops Fables” . He has just finished touring the Eastern States with Patch’s “Pigs, Bears and Billy Goats Gruff” and is stage managing “ The Boy and The Bamboo Flute” in Minneapolis for the USA tour. |
