Cosmology in the Narrative of Slovenians in Windish Bleiberg

The paper deals with local memory as reflected in narrations, folk beliefs and invocations closely connected to certain places in Windish Bleiberg and its vicinity in Carinthia in Austria. The material, which is preserved in the archives and which was collected recently in the field and in contemporary life, was analysed in detail. Some of the narrations and folk beliefs and traditions were also documented on video. The attempt was made to reconstruct the cosmological structures of these traditions and to compare them to the cosmological structures of the Central European and the Balkan regions.
