Melbourne Water & PPWCMA Fencing and Re-Vegetating Project

Melbourne Water & the Port Phillip and Westernport Catchment Management Authority gave us a grant to install a Heritage type Fence on the North/East Camping Ground above the Caretakers Compound. The type of fence was chosen to match existing fencing at the Waterwheel and blend into the heritage environment around the kiln site.

Revegetation was proposed along the fences to help improve the ground conditions and stop degradation of the Tomahawk Creek approaches. The revegetation was done with the help of the Cockatoo Primary School, who turned up with 80 students of Grade 3 and 4 on 25 June. A barbecue and certificate presentation concluded the Planting Session.
