- New Group!
At last months FNCV
Council meeting, a motion was passed to allow the
formation of a new Special Interest Group (SIG). If like
many of us you have a keener than average interest in the
flying mammals of Victoria, then watch out for activities
of the FNCV Bat Group. We have already set up a Yahoo
chat group called Friends of Bats Victoria.
This was an initiative of FNCV and the Australasian Bat
Society (ABS) and we now intend to operate as a SIG with
expert support and guidance of the Australasian Bat
Society.. So if you'd like to be a part of something new
and very exciting then follow the links below.

May 2005 - Leaves from our History
This year is our 125th
Anniversary. To celebrate this momentous occasion, FNCV
is hosting a two-day symposium covering all things field
nat. Nearly twenty speakers will be making presentations,
discussing topics which range from an overview of
the clubs history to the role of women in the
FNCV. This history symposium will be held on the
weekend of the 28th and 29th May

Unfiortunately
the formal dinner scheduled for the Saturday evening has
been cancelled (refunds forthcoming to those who have
prepaid). Instead nibbles and drinks will be enjoyed as
