Conservation Action

The Field Naturalists Club is arguably the oldest conservation group in Victoria, having been instrumental in the reservation of Victoria's first two national parks, Wilsons Promontory and Mount Buffalo.

The club continues its involvement in conservation of the environment by submissions it makes to government inquiries, providing comments on management plans and government reports, and by its active program of study and research into the natural history of Victoria.
