A light-hearted and lively reworking of one of Shakespeare's most loved
comedies. The play will be accompanied
throughout by The Swans of Avon playing traditional and Shakespearian
music.
An abridged Act One, delivers us into the fresh forest of pastoral life. Once there, our business is none other but to make love, poetry, and play. All the world's a stage and in this charming pageant of the oppositions of country and courtly manners, Shakespeare paints scenes of human diversity; their humours; their sensibilities, misery and joy; and laughs in tolerant kind, judging all by the touchstones of loyalty, natural affection, and the love which surrenders while it teases.
