The finger food was apparently great again, and the drinks must have been good, based on the noise level during the afternoon.
18 people stayed for dinner at the hotel that evening.
The CDC and CDA memorabilia display by the Alison and Adrian Bryant was well patronised, as was David Lee's NOS/BE running on his laptop (oh, the power! Who needs a 7600?).
A minute's silence was held for those who have passed away in the last 2 years (Nola Colbert 7/06,Ian Chapman 8/06, Trevor Robinson and Max Wilcox 6/07, Bill Taylor 7/07, and Kay Robinson 11/07).
John O'Neil spoke briefly about Trevor Robinson's tremendous contribution to not only CDC and CDA but also the Australian computing industry - especially the culture he injected into CDA, which allowed remarkable growth and operational success, and from which we formed such close friendships that still have us meeting on such a regular basis (Vale, Trevor!).
Everyone was exhorted to use the rapidly expanding website (a wonderful job being done by Geoff Hipwell!) and help the indefatigable Bob Jensen keep the database as up-to-date as possible.
I look forward to seeing some of you in the near future at the monthly Pizza lunch, or in two years time at the 8th reunion!
Kind regards from Mike Spark
