ApproachBriefly, there are two approaches being used for Greynet training.
First there is the Classroombased one which is the typical face-2-face session that requires a classroom of computers, where each person has there own and follows a facilitator with a datashow.
The other is, Self-pacedan outreach approach, where there are no Centre classroom computer facilities available. The computer training is done at local facilities such as the high school. The WWW training is taken to where the people are (local club, library etc).

The basic difference betwen the two is that Classroom is designed around a Centre having computers with access to the WWW. Whereas, the Self-paced  is designed for Centres without them.

Web SiteThe web site is integrated with a workbook and may not make much sense on its own. Its purpose is to provide a familiar place for learners: a home
Elwood On-line
It provides a set of refresher type activities to help remind and enable self-paced practice & learning. It is highly visual, simple and has scrolling scripts in status bar to provide levels of feedback and interaction. It is meant to enable learners to get on their feet and start doing it on their own - Independence

"It's not important whether they are out there surfing the waves or just paddling around in the shallows. As long as they're out there". T.Kealy
