THE ROOF THAT WAS A BRIDGE

The Concrete Wool Store in Geelong was the longest span concrete roof in the world. This unique structure has suffered severe deterioration since its completion in 1911 and faces demolition.

Miles Lewis, Senior Lecturer in Architecture at University of Melbourne will discuss the building in its historical context.

Barry Crisp, Consulting Structural Engineer, will discuss the present condition of the roof structure.
