A free, public lecture with slides by Frank Atkinson OBE, former (and founding) Director of this excellent museum which was named British Museum of the Year in 1986, and European Museum of the Year in 1987.
The museum portrays the industrial, urban and rural ways of life in an activated outdoor setting. It includes a town, a railway, a farm and a colliery.
