Have a great day out cycling Melbourne's Capital City Trail; enjoy the rich heritage seen along this circular bicycle route; gain an awareness of the contribution that engineers have made to our built environment; and learn about engineering history and the engineering heritage along this trail.

Ken McInnes is a civil engineer with a lifelong interest in engineering history and heritage and with a keen interest in helping others gain an appreciation of our engineering heritage. He is a past chairman of both the National and Victorian Engineering Heritage Committees, chairman of the National Trust Timber Bridges Committee, and for many years was a deputy member of the Historic buildings Council, serving on its registration and permits committees, and on steering committees for the Docklands Heritage Study, and the Melbourne City Heritage Study.
