"As 'The Church in the Marketplace', we seek to convey God's love to the world by meeting all kinds of human need in everyday life, both here in our own community and elsewhere in the world."

Background of the Mission Statement

With the union of the Wesley and St Andrews parishes into the Echuca/Moama Uniting Church there was a need for a process which would consolidate the church's strengths and develop a plan for the future direction of our church.

During the 1994/1995 financial year, Church Council developed the initial Mission Statement which clarified the future goals and priorities of the church.  These were then ratified by the Elders and congregation.

The Echuca Moama Uniting Church Mission Statement has given all groups and members of the church well communicated future goals and priorities.  It has encouraged members and groups within the church to share their gifts in order to achieve a ‘future’ for the Echuca Moama Uniting Church.

Mission Focus

1.      To broaden outreach to young families in the district. 

2.      To develop a support group for the elderly.

3.      To provide worship services which fulfil the need for people to communicate meaningfully to God through Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit.

4.      To encourage and support the formation of small relational groups which will contribute to the dynamic growth of life in a Christian Community.
