Eltham Pre-School
We are a community of children, parents and teachers who want something special for their children and for themselves. Our program balances joyful learning, independent thinking and curiosity, creativity, and imagination in a sustainable environment, with a naturalised outdoor environment where children can experience the beauty of nature and nurture their sense of wonder.
We strive to:
- Celebrate diversity and embrace each child's individuality within an environment of respect and trust.
- Operate in harmony with the natural environment and in a sustainable manner where possible.
- Encourage children, parents and staff to share a sense of community and commitment to one another.
- Nurture and extend children's natural abilities in expressing their ideas through as many visual and language arts as possible.
- Provide an environment that is calm and unhurried, so that
children have
the time for uninterrupted play - because play is "children's work" and this is how young children learn best. - Treasure the uniqueness of Early Childhood by encouraging
a secure, nurturing and fun atmosphere.
