Dear President,

  I am writing to you to express my concern for asylum-seekers held in
detention in your country. I believe it is in the interests of the
government of Nauru to be, and to be seen to be, transparent in all
aspects relating to asylum-seekers held on its territory. I urge your
government to grant visas to independent individuals and organisations
to enable this transparency.
