This photograph of a group of young girls from Sunday School was received by the Group from Suzanne Soutter. Suzanne is a niece of two of the girls pictured.
Suzanne said that Emily (near the girl in the long dress) and Edna Adams (sitting on the stool in front) are pictured with their teacher after mutual presentations to each other. The girls receiving the little purses around their necks from their teacher and the girls presenting her with the silver cake plate she holds. The girls are the daughters of Edgar Charles and Margaret Jane Adams.
The photo was taken on the front verandah of "Papanui" in Bairnsdale.
