The Friends' Group was launched on National Tree Planting Day the 2 August 2009

About Egan-Lee

Egan-Lee Reserve was named after a Knox engineer and is approximately four acres of open woodland featuring grassland species such as sedges and tussock grass. Orchids, like the group above also feature in spring.

Aims

  • to promote the importance of RD Egan-Lee Reserve as part of the wildlife habitat corridor
  • to assist and encourage people to leave the Reserve as they found it
  • to enhance existing indigenous vegetation and biodiversity by re-planting suitable plants when and where necessary
  • to encourage residential participation and support for the Reserve
