Community Involvement

EEEC is involved in a number of community projects and partnerships. Many of these projects or consultations have helped to advise and support best practice in early childhood sustainable development

Involvements

  • Initiated research into the microbiological effectiveness of alternative cleaners in early childhood centers.
  • Assisted the Marine Studies Center, Queenscliff, in the development of a marine education program for early childhood centers and kit entitled “An Octopus’s Garden”.
  • Assisted the Royal Botanical Gardens with early childhood programs and The Ian Potter Children’s Garden that opened in 2004
  • Produced a brochure with Playgrouping Victoria entitled “Environmentally Responsible Playgrouping”.
  • Conducted talks to community groups and in-serviced the early childhood field.
