Classes of Fire
Class A
Class B
Class C
Class D
Class E
Class F
Fires involve common carbonaceous solids such as: wood, paper, cloth, rubber and plastics
Fires involve flammable and combustible liquids, such as petrol, kerosene, oil, tar, paint and wax
Fires involve combustible gases, such as LPG
Fires involve combustible metals, such as magnesium, aluminium, sodium and potassium
Fires involving energised electrical equipment (electrical equipment connected to an electrical supply which has current running through it
Fires involve cooking oils and fats
Fire blankets and smoke alarms also require servicing, the servicing is quite simple, but the peace of mind of having
an experienced firefighter check the blanket is folded correctly or the smoke alarm is working properly is well worth it.
Fire hose reels - your main line of defence against a fire, these items require regular checking and servicing. When
you want them to work, you want them to work. We will provide 6 monthly checks along with tests to ensure the fire
hose reels will work as expected.
Fire hydrants and layflat hose - Fire hydrants are very common in business premises, some are also fitted with
fire hose in cabinets. Fire hose is very susceptible to rotting, being made of canvas with a rubber lining. Regular
testing is required to ensure its integrity, and adequate drying and restowing is essential for its long life.
It doesn't matter what brand of equipment or what age the equipment is. We can either service it, or replace it with a
 comparable item, quickly and efficiently.
We aim is to create a safer community, one way we can do this is to ensure that all fire equipment installed in
businesses or houses are tested and maintained as required by the relevant Australian Standard. This will give
Victorians the best possible chance of reducing the consequence of fire in their home or business.
