Icarus orbit has been a three stage development, that is if you don't include the earlier solo work Icarus naked with Feathers, though it was very much the parent piece to the orbit.

First stage of development happened courtesy of Northern Metropolitan Institute of TAFE in Collingwood where with the help of some 2nd year students I began the process of excavating the back of my mind.
That led to three work in progress peformances in March of 1999.
Second stage happened courtesy of The Castlemaine State Festival where, after a short digestive and reflective period, the piece was remounted for two performances in May 1999.
