Trefor began as a musician, then moved into puppetry, followed by theatre, then musical theatre and dabblings in the demon TV.  Then, in 1986, he left Australia for a six week holiday in Europe from which he finally returned, 9 years later, in 1995.

Whilst in Europe he trained with Ecole Philippe Gaulier, Ecole Monika Pagneux,  The Desmond Jones School of Physical Theatre, Theatre de Complicitè and La Scuola Internazionale dell'Attore Comico.  Credits incl;  Handspan Theatre, The Medieval Players,  Proteus Theatre, Scala Theatre, Teatro Mimo. Blood Brothers, Me and My Girl, Superstar, Leave Him to Heaven, 

In 1993 he formed  eclectic pelican to create and tour new works of actor based multi discipline Hybrid theatre.
