This is a list of plants that
would have grown along the railway line. Those that occur on or near the
reserve are marked with an R. The list includes mainly species which are
used in revegetation. For example many Orchids would have grown but are
not easily propagated. The list is compiled from articles in the Victorian
Naturalist and Proceedings of the Royal Society, various surveys and personal
accounts.
Please contact Rob if you have
any comments, additions, and deletions. The Rail reserve is the only occurrence
of many of these plants in the Bayside region. Therefore, their conservation
is of the utmost importance in our revegetation/beautification efforts.
