The girls will be talking about the Yorgum program in Western Australia, plus other programs with indigenous Australians throughout the country. Come and join us as we begin our journey to better understand the problems facing our Indigenous people and the sort of actions we can take to help them on their way to dignity and self sustainability.

Country Dance

We will be having a "practice reel" before the formal part of the meeting next Friday. Michael Pender will take a small, (or large if required) group through one Bush/Country/Folk Dance to give you an idea of what to expect on our Dance Night, so you can tell everyone you are bringing what will be happening.

Book Fair Update

Just a reminder that we needs lots more books for this years book fair, so encourage every body you know to clean out their book shelves.

Contact Stephen (9439-2063) or Beth (9439-1716) if you want to deposit books as they are the only people with keys.

We will not be asking Library Staff to open up for us !

Groups Winter Workshop

After the successful groups workshop in October last year, Oxfam will be holding the next one in June. This will be an opportunity to meet members from other groups. One of the items on the agenda will be Fundraising at both group and national level and the success or otherwise of fundraising events.

There will be a presentation by Donna Clay, Indigenous People's Advocacy Coordinator, who will talk about Oxfam Australia's upcoming campaign on indigenous health.
