After the
DC Implosion led to the cancellation of All Star Comics with Issue 74 the
JSA moved across to
once again
an anthology title.
Beginning with issue
461 and running through to issue 466 - the story that revealed why the
JSA disbanded in the 1950s and early 1960s. Editor, Paul Levitz,
writes on the inside cover of Adventure #461;
"As usual we've
surprised ourselves with this issue of Adventure comics. Besides
regular stars Flash, Wonder Woman, Deadman and Aquaman, we're introducing
what will be our fifth regular feature - the Justice Society of America.
since the recent cancellation of All Star comics as part of our conversion
to a slimmer line, the JSAers were homeless and we thought that was a shame.
So here they are, and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do. "

out on that classic cover of the golden-age Batman in his coffin with the
JSA in mourning watching over him! The two other Aussie edition covers
(Adv 4 & Adv 7) are copies of US edition Adv 464 & Adv 466. note
that the BACK cover of Adv 464 is the art for the FRONT cover of the Australian
