"Star light, Star Bright - Death Star I see tonight" (JLA73, August 1969 - Here Mighty 81) and "Where Death Fears to Tread" (JLA74, September 1969 - Here Mighty 82).   The Stellar being Aquarius approaches the Earth and defeats Starman, stealing his cosmic rod and using it to create chaos around the planet.  Having discovered the injured Starman Black Canary and her husband gather the JSA to battle the demented being set on destroying the Earth.  Having obliterated all existence except for the JSA, which is encased in a protective shield formed by Dr Fate a weakened Aquarius rests to prepare for his final onslaught against the Society. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the villain the Red Tornado has sped off to Earth-One to seek the assistance of the JLA.  During a rescue attempt Aquarius turns the JSA against their friends.  During this battle Larry Lance is killed saving the Black Canary.  Eventually the combined forces of the two groups of heroes defeat Aquarius and return Earth-Two back to it's natural state.  A grieving Black Canary returns to Earth-One with the JLA looking to start a new life.   Roll Call Superman, Batman, Green Arrow, The Flash, Green Lantern, The Atom, Hawkman.
