Trish's storyTrish is a Poitou donkey, like our darling Henri, and we guess that she was born in about October 2001.She was purchased from an indiscriminate breeder who had no knowledge of donkey care, and who is known to the RSPCA. She was removed from an appalling environment of dusty paddocks and a dry dam, where sheep had died and their carcasses still lay where they had dropped. |

| She had been kept in the same paddock as a full jack, so
there was a possibility she could be pregnant. On her arrival at Donkey Shelter
she was ultra-sounded for pregnancy, which fortunately was negative. She is now a happy and healthy resident at Donkey Shelter. Although still wary, she is warming up to the idea that people are only there to provide love in the form of food, water, shelter and unlimited hugs and pats. |
