Donkey Diary

Donkey Shelter holds a number of events at both the Diamond Creek and Tongala properties throughout the year. Your attendance on these days helps us to raise money for the donkeys and mules. We would love to see you there, and the donkeys and mules love to meet their sponsors! A popular and very rewarding event is Donkey Day, a hands-on day where members of the public have close contact with the donkeys. Participants are divided into small groups and, under the supervision of volunteers, groom the donkeys and prepare their vitamin bowls.
