David Johns has worked as a professional photographer for twenty-five years.

David's career began in newspapers and he has worked for many, from the parochial - including The Maitland Mercury, The Manning River Times and The Newcastle Morning Herald to national dailies - including The Age and The Australian.

Since starting David Johns Photography in 1990 David's work has taken him to every imaginable type of location all over Australia, to Asia and America.

David has found himself working at steel and aluminium foundries, major building sites, factories of all descriptions, mines and aircraft maintenance facilities, as well as remote outback communities,kindergartens, parliaments and boardrooms.

David also has a well-equipped studio in Richmond for product shoots and indoor photography that requires complex lighting. Images can be captured using conventional film or digital photography and supplied in various formats such as traditional proofs and prints or cd.

David has a diverse range of clients working in different fields such as industry, corporate, education and publishing,including AMP, Allen and Unwin, Arthur Anderson, A.T.
