Lights, Camera, Action!

Welcome to the various 3D Studio worlds as created by myself, within the elective Cad Visualisation, as part of the Bachelor of Architecture course , at The University of Melbourne.

The following work presented here was created using 3D Studio release 4, with minor references to Autocad R13, Photoshop 3.0, and AAPlayer.

This subject has four assignments as outlined below, click on the relevant highlight and be taken to assignment details. And if you would like to know what I think about 3D Studio, look here.
Basic Still "A folly". This first venture into animation, demonstrates the use of lighting and distance framing. The objective was to demonstrate how lighting can create space and background lighting can affect the appearance of reality.
Mapped Still with TOY"Interior". This project intended to create a life-like version of a blank interior provided to all students. This project was to concentrate on interior lighting, and external perspectives for re-asserting the reality of the interior.
Basic Animation"Animate TOY". This "Jack in the Box" was to utilise the animation features of 3D Studio. This application has many interesting features, which are used to create lifelike representation of things, when animated.
Movie feature"space flight to WebStation1". This is the grand finale! A movie and story to express what was learnt within this course. The project chosen was also to utilise a design I had recently completed, of a pool designed for Carlton. With some of the restrictions placed on reality removed, I decided to create a building on another world. But the question remained, where to land the space-craft.
