Dansk VCE Udviklings Leder (deltid)

"Danish School Down Under Inc" er en almennyttig skole for det Danske Samfund I Australien.
Skolen blev oprettet i 1997 og har oplevet en jævn fremgang siden. Skolen har nu over 40 elever, som mødes hver 3. uge i den Svenske Kirke i Toorak.

Takket være en generøs bevilling fra Dannebrog Foundation som dækker et års projekt, er skolen nu istand til at søge en engagered og kvalificeret person på deltids basis, med interesse i at iværksætte den Danske skoles akkreditering, samt udvikle et curriculum med undervisningsmaterialer for Dansk VCE.

For at opnå akkreditering og mulighed for at tilbyde Dansk VCE kræves der at grundskolen tilbyder ugentlig undervisning. Denne nødvendige forbedring vil blive indført fra skoleåret 2010.

‘Danish School Down Under Inc’ søger derfor en person med de følgende relevante kvalifikationer:

 Lærer uddannelse på Dansk/Australsk gymnasie/VCE niveau
 Kommunikations evner.
 Evnen til at arbejde både selvstændig og som en del af et team.
 Dansk kundskaber
 Erfaring med projekt ledelse.
 Kendskab og erfaring fra det danske og australske undervisnings system.

Projektet vil foregå i samarbejde med både VCE underudvalget, medlemmer af det Danske lokalsamfund med relevante kvalifikationer, samt skolens øvrige kommitte medlemmer.

Det forventes at projektet vil være fuldført med udgangen af 2010. Med undervisningsstart af de første VCE elever fra skoleåret 2011.

VCE Dansk kan gøres over et eller flere år, alt efter evner, tid og lyst, i perioden fra 10 til 12 klasse.

The Danish School Down Under Inc is a not for profit school, established by and for the Danish Community in Australia.
The school was founded in 1997 and has experienced steady growth since. It now has more than 40 students who currently attend classes every 3rd week in The Swedish Church in Toorak.

Thanks to a generous contribution from the Dannebrog Foundation we are looking for a visionary and qualified individual who is interested in assisting on a part time basis, with the schools move towards accreditation.

To achieve accreditation and become a VCE provider the school has to increase student hours to weekly sessions. This will be introduced from the school start of 2010.

‘Danish School Down Under Inc’ seeks an individual with the following necessary qualifications:

 A Danish/Australian teaching degree with Secondary School qualifications.
 Communication skills.
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 Danish language skills.
 Experience with project management.
 Knowledge and experience of the Danish and Australian school systems.

The project will be run in partnership with the VCE Commitee, The School commitee and other members of the Danish community with relevant qualifications.

It is expected that the project will be finalised and realised by the end of year 2010. The first VCE students are expected to commence from semester 1 in 2011.

VCE (LOTE) in Danish can be achieved by attending classes for one or more years depending on the individuals language skills, time commitments and effort. Most students would participate sometime during school years 10 to 12.
