Aims

- to promote Ballarat craft and crafts people

- to promote and encourage the highest standards craft and craftsmanship in all its forms

- to conduct and promote exhibitions

- to provide craft information and resource services

- to provide opportunities for interaction and co-operation between crafts people of all fields

- to promote active participation in craft through lectures, workshops and other activities designed to instruct or stimulate crafts people and the general public

- to establish a crafts centre in Ballarat

 

The Crafts Council has regular general meetings. Commottee of management meetings are usually held at 7.30pm on the first Tuesday of each Month in the Robert Clark Centre, Ballarat Botanical Gardens (see calendar)

One major activity of the Crafts Council is the operation of the Adam Lindsay Gordon Craft Cottage as an outlet for local craft
