Both of the above services are staffed by trained volunteer counsellors who are there to provide emotional support in times of crisis or if you're feeling down. They will listen to you, support you and assist you to clarify your choices and options. They may also provide you with information about other community services which you may find helpful.

Following are links to some other services which may also be of assistance. Please bear in mind, however, that not all of these offer services 24 hours a day:

  • e-couch - a free online service of ANU that provides evidence-based information about emotional problems (including depression and anxiety disorders) and teaches strategies that may help you to prevent problems and understand yourself better.
