Youth Program Radio Out There

Radio Out There, now being broadcast on Sundays at 2pm, is a fun radio program designed to give young people the most up-to-date information on career and lifestyle information, while enjoying the latest music. Radio Out There is produced in Sydney and distributed to distributed to 28 community radio stations around Australia, including our own local station 3MGB .
Programmes are hosted by Danielle Archer and Evan Peet and feature regular segments including: career choices, job vacancies, health matters, band interviews, film reviews and other youth related issues. Radio Out There plays a wide variety of musical genre keeping a strong focus on Australian music.
However, Radio Out There is more than just a radio show. Radio Out There is a special project set up by the St Vincent De Paul Society to provide access to the media, training and employment options for youth in the Inner City Sydney suburb of Petersham via the Rendu Youth Services. At Radio Out There, young people have the opportunity to contribute to radio programming and content.
Radio Out There provides an opportunity for young people to develop communication and workplace skills. Access to technology such as computer audio editing and office programmes as well as the Internet is also incorporated, equipping young people with essential basic skills.
3MGB currently broadcasts nine local youth programs every week. 3MGB is proud that we are able to offer our local kids similar opportunities as their city counterparts to develop their skills by participating in our local community radio as presenters, producers and to take part in the administration of the station if they would like to.
For further information on how young people can become a part of the 3MGB team please contact Leah Morrison by leaving a message at the station or emailing us at cootafm@vicnet.net.au.
