Dot Bruce is no ordinary grandmother; Dot is also a highly experienced 3MGB presenter. Dot, who is grandmother to 12 and great grandmother to 2, started presenting way back in 1993. She recalls that she took over the
Monday Lunchbox from Gloria Baker, 'just for a few weeks'. 10 years later Dot is still enjoying spinning vinyl platters every Monday at 12 and doing a great job of it! Dot is often seen ferreting through 3MGB's library of records to come up with some gem from the past. She also likes to present spoken word, particularly Australian stories and poetry. Dot is always on the lookout for interesting Australian spoken word so if you have something you would be willing to lend, please give her a call.
Well done Dot and keep up the good work!
International Blues performer
Harry Manx thrilled a packed house at The Tide Restaurant last Tuesday night. Harry was interviewed by
Ken Vatcher on the
Saturday Breakfast Show prior to coming to Mallacoota and many listeners were inspired by the interview to book in for the night's entertainment. And they were not disappointed! Comments heard on the night about Harry's prowess included Incredible
, Fantastic
and Superlative
! At the end of his performance Harry gave special thanks for the support given to him by 3MGB FM (and also the Mallacoota Arts Council and The Tide).
