our history

Community Media Sevices was established in 2005 by Melbourne media activists who set up TVU in 1986, RMITV in 1987, St. Kilda Access TV (SKA) in 1988, and the MCTC (Melbourne TV Channel 31) in 1991.

media

We are using blogs, vlogs, wikis, mobys, and internet social networks to complement and extend more traditional community based radio and television.

Our media reflects the experiences, needs, hopes and perspectives of individuals and groups that take an interest in the society they live in.
