our history

Community Media Services was established in 2005 by Melbourne media activists who set up TVU in 1986, RMITV in 1987, St. Kilda Access TV (SKA) in 1988, and the MCTC (Melbourne TV Channel 31) in 1991.

Our facilities are located at Victoria Park, corner Lulie and Abbot streets in Abbotsford. Victoria Park railway station is nearby, take the Lulie street exit if you come by train.

Until recently, Victoria Park was the home of the Collingwood Football Club. We are on the ground floor of the old social club.

We welcome and value participation at any level, and volunteers with all backgrounds and experience.
