The City of Moorabbin Historical Society invites you to visit 'Box Cottage' Museum and "take a walk down memory lane".
Everything from an uncomfortable, nineteenth century ladies waist-cinch, to early hand-made nails, and a silver trophy cup awarded to Robert Keys in 1883!
Visitors can explore the society’s eclectic collection of fascinating historical artifacts in ‘Box Cottage’ Museum and the barn area. The collection presents an enjoyable
learning opportunity for children, and provides adults with a glimpse into the lives our forebears lived, before the advent of electricity and supermarkets. A “Treasure hunt”
quiz is available as a fun and educational activity for primary aged children to participate in with their parents. The society also has a collection of historic photographs
and books on local history.
