Our Centre
|
 |
Clare Court Child Care Centre was opened
to children for the first time in February 1988.
We are open from 7.30am to 6.00pm Monday
to Friday.
Registration is through the City of Maribyrnong, who can be
contacted on 9688 0116 for a registration form. Council policy is
that families who live, work or study within the municipality are
given priority.
We are closed for three weeks, late
December to late January (no fees due for this period).
The centre caters for 35 children in three
rooms. We are co-located with a Kindergarten and a Maternal &
Child Health Centre.
We aim to provide a safe, secure and
comfortable environment where all children will be accepted for
their unique selves, with no discrimination of race, sex or
religion. Children, parents and staff of the Centre have the
right to be treated with respect and dignity. We want to provide
care that enhances and meets the individual developmental needs
of the children - that is, their social, emotional, physical and
cognitive needs. Children with special needs will be integrated
into our service.
ACCREDITATION
The National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC)
administers this process, which measures the quality of care
provided by services. The ultimate aim of this quality system is
to promote and ensure quality outcomes for children.
GUIDING CHILDREN'S BEHAVIOUR
Redirection in a positive manner is of greater value to
children to deter unacceptable behaviour as opposed to, negative
verbal or physical direction. All limits are set in a positive
manner and are appropriate to the children's level of
development, to ensure a safe and stimulating environment.
