A Financial counsellor, employed by the Cardinia-Casey Community health Service, is located at CISS from Monday through to Thursday. A Financial counsellor can help you • Inform you of your rights in dealing with debt collectors repossession and Sheriff. • Provide information on legal action regarding debt. • Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of Bankruptcy and its alternative's. • Explain what you can do if you are unable to pay bills, loans or fines. • Assist you to work out payment offers to creditors and look at opther options. • Assist you in your negotiations with creditors • Discuss the effects of credit interest going Guarantor and joint contracts.
