What is PANDORA?
PANDORA is an online archive in which selected Australian websites and other online publications are preserved and made permanently available to the public for research and reference.
PANDORA was established by the National Library of Australia in 1996 to ensure that Australian online publications are collected and preserved, as print publications have been for many years. In July 2008, the number of titles collected so far was 19,617.
The State Library of Victoria contributes to PANDORA by collecting Victorian websites and online publications, as part of its role of preserving Victoria’s documentary heritage.
