![]() C.H.O.M.P., a not-for-profit volunteer-run collective, aims primarily to promote heavy music, and the bands and artists who perform it, to the public, with the major focus upon rural youth. C.H.O.M.P. strives to educate as well as entertain, achieving this through the staging of gigs, educational workshops, and jam sessions. C.H.O.M.P. aims to help young people by conducting safe, alcohol free all-ages shows, to stage over 18's gigs in the metropolitan and rural areas, to help young bands and artists in the recording process, and to aid local and worthwhile organisations and causes through benefit concerts. Although C.H.O.M.P. is still in its infancy stage, the team is looking toward the future. We have set up a free musicians register to assist with the formation of new bands (contact us for details), and aim to be able to help young musicians with provisions such as instruments, equipment, rehearsal space and computer access.
