DETAILS ABOUT THE CHOIR
Vision statement / Artistic goals: The purpose of The Proclaimers is taken from 2nd Corinthians, Chapter 4, Verse 5: “it is not ourselves we proclaim; we proclaim Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants, for Jesus sake”

Musical Repertoire: The Proclaimers draw inspiration from a wide range of musical influences; their repertoire includes styles from early American gospel, to tight accapella harmonies and contemporary Christian rock

Previous musical experience: Emily studied music for 10 years, plays the piano, has sung with many vocal groups and bands; she sang with the choir for 2 years before taking on the role of MD, where she arranges all new songs introduced to the choir
Choir's past collaborations with other musical groups: Diamond Valleys Singers, Bendigo Gospel Festival, Combined Banyule choirs events
JOINING REQUIREMENTS
Audition: Yes - a basic, low-stress audition where a person’s vocal range and ability to sing with accompaniment is determined; Joining age is 15-35 years
Minimum Attendance policy - Rehearsals: Yes Concerts: Yes
Membership Fees: $30 p.a.
Ability to read music: Not necessary
Sight-reading ability: Not necessary
