Vision statement / Artistic goals: To create a community of singers which shares the joys and sorrows of songs from around the globe; to create an environment where singers can develop their voices, musicianship and performance skills; to create performances that inspire, relax and entertain audiences; Choir rehearsal evenings also weave together improvisation and vocal soundscapes to calm and relax

Previous musical experience: For the past 10 years, Polly has been both the Musical Director and Conductor of several successful Melbourne community Choirs - Resonance, Ruby Tuesdays, Broadmeadows Singers, etc; she has been a workshop leader at Music Festivals in Victoria and Australia (Boite Festivals, Canberra National Folk Festival, Big West Festival, Darebin Christmas Carols in the Park, Sumersong music camp); Polly has finished an Honours degree in Conducting and currently teaches voice at Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE

Membership Fees: $12.50 per evening, paid as a term block at the beginning of each term (9-10 week blocks)

Ability to read music: Desirable

Sight-reading ability: Desirable

Sample of the Choir's past Concert Venues: Mark Street Hall as part of the Boite Winter Festival 2001, Centre for Creative Ministries with other local professional musicians, walking and singing for Walk Against Want as a community of singers in support of the organisation, a 2 week season with the Melbourne Fringe Festival in September; Resonance has recently recorded their first CD titled "Let it Go"
