The fire brigade forms a focus in the community of Christmas Hills and the Bend of Islands. As well as providing a first response to a number of different kinds of emergencies, the Brigade has a number of other community roles. The following regular events are held.
Monthly meetings are at 8.00 PM on the first Wednesday of each month in the South (Catani Boulevard) station
Training is held at the fire station every Sunday morning between 9:30 am and 12:00pm.
Cafe Benders is held at the South Station between 10.00 AM and noon on the third Saturday of each month.
