The Chinese Health Foundation of Australia was established in February 1994, with a mission to promote community health amongst Chinese Australians. It is a non-profitable, charitable and voluntary organisation, and is governed by the Board of Directors. It is a registered company under Division 1 of Part 2.2 of the Corporations Law of Victoria and is an incorporated company. It is a public company and limited by guarantee.

Mission

To promote community health amongst Chinese Australians and to empower people of Chinese ethnicity to increase control over, and to improve, their health.

Role

To promote community health amongst Chinese Australians

To assist other mainstream health organisations producing health messages relevant to the Chinese community

To make available health related information to the Chinese community.

To identify health problems pertaining to the Chinese community by various means including research

To develop and conduct community intervention programs appropriate to the Chinese
