Dear Friend,
Following
our previous successful launch of My Baby's
Diary to promote childhood immunisation for
all babies born to Chinese-speaking mothers, we
are pleased to annouce that Dr. Michael
Wooldridge, Federal Minister for Health and
Family Services, is most impressed with the work
of the Foundation and has agreed to launch the
Foundation's Community Health Promotion Program
for the year 1997.
The
Foundation's philosophy is "Community
Health - Yours to Care and Yours to Share". While the
Foundation is privilege to convene this important
event, it is with you whom we would like to
share. You, your family, and your organisation
are invited to be part of this diner function.
This is not a fundrasing event. On the evening,
you, as a member of the Chinese or mainstream
community who are concerned with the health care
system or the health of individuals, will have
the opportunity to meet with the Minister at
table, and learn up-to-date research data
addressing the several health issues in Chinese
health.
We
ask you to form a table of your own (with friends
or members of your organisation). If you are
working in the area of Chinese health or are
concerned with certain health issues, you are
encouraged to discuss with us special
arrangements to meet with the Minister.
I
wish to affirm that this is a very important
event in the history of Chinese health in
Australia. On be half of the Board of the
Directors of the Foundation, I cordially invite
you to be part of this historical evening. The
cost of the dinner is $28.- per person. The
dinner will be served at 7.30pm sharp, followed
by a 30-minutes program presentation, with the
remaining evening to meet with the Minister. A
registration form is attached. Please do fill in
the form and return to us, or simply register by
phone.
Yours
Sincerely,
Dr.
Bridget H.-H. Hsu-Hage,
on behalf of the Board of Directors.
